The small island of Papey is of great interest for birdwatchers.  Estimate of 40.000 couples of puffins (Fratercula arctica) stay there over the summertime.  The island is also inhibited with a lot of other black-gulls like the Common guillemot (Uria aalge).  Furthermore, Papey is a popular place for Common Eider and the Black-legged Kittiwake to lay their eggs.

        Our Papey boat tour depends on weather and sea conditions. Because the route goes over open sea, the ocean can be more dynamic and sensitive to weather changes. For this reason, the exact departure time will always be confirmed with the captain. We will contact you before your tour to decide the best and safest timing.

        Safety First – Always

        Your safety is our highest priority. The captain will always choose the safest and most comfortable route based on the conditions at sea.
        If the weather changes suddenly, the captain may:

        • Adjust the route
        • Turn back early
        • Or return to shore before reaching the island

        Even if Papey cannot be reached, the tour will still be a memorable ocean experience—filled with stunning views, wildlife encounters (weather permitting), and the unique atmosphere of being out on the open sea.
